Haha I’m in the same boat, barely look at files anymore 😄
I really love the multi-agents. Because stuck moving linearly used to be a huge block for me, so finally being able to run multiple tasks at the same time feels huge.
Totally get your hesitation though, I feel it’s partly comfort level and partly habit, and everyone’s different.
And yeah, the Agent UI pivot was genius. Didn’t expect that at all, and they barely even mentioned it! Appreciate you sharing this, Wyndo.
Trying it now with a difficult use case. Too many errors. I developed the prompt using Copilot. At least, I got it to do the upgrade lol. But sorry to say, its not there yet. :) it will be awhile.
I developed the prompt only using Copilot. Once it approved the prompt, I used it on various agents with varying degrees of success. There were some errors with Cursor but it began charging me again to fix those errors. Trying others tomorrow.
totally with you on: speed is great until it breaks the wrong thing faster 😂 Your rule of thumb (Composer for quick stuff, Sonnet for thinking) is super useful. Awesome breakdown, as always, Jenny!
Really appreciate this deep dive. Your breakdown makes Cursor 2.0’s impact on AI workflows crystal clear.
Cursor 2.0 isn’t just an update, it’s a workflow revolution. Parallel and multi-session agents finally match how humans think, not just how we code. The frictionless Agent + Editor interface is the real productivity unlock, even if the rough edges demand adaptation.
I love this deep dive, Jenny! I updated to Cursor 2.0 just this weekend, and it's amazing. It's blazing fast, and the AI is super helpful. It provided guidance when I got stuck. I've never been able to upload my changes to GitHub that quickly!
Thanks for sharing the AI Advent Challenge! More is to come in the next few weeks. Hopefully, it'll be a great and fun event! ;)
I have been using it less and less. And creating things with proof of human work. My thesis is that if everything becomes easy to create with AI, everything will get overcrowded, and those who have an established repetition of building things by hand will stand out. Just like how today a handcrafted Japanese shoe sells for ten times the price of a factory-made shoe.
great deep dive Jenny!
after spending few days on 2.0, I really like the agent UI, it's clear the direction they are taking. Composer is so damn fast too!
I see myself not looking the files anymore lol, but I still couldnt wrap my head around deploying multiple agents as I'm afraid it will ruin my codes.
but your idea to deploy agents to tackle same problem to see most possible solution is interesting to try!

Thanks for the shoutout much appreciated Jenny!
You are very welcome Caroline! Let’s try some more in the community later this week.
Ok ill upgrade and we shall see.
Great! Let me know how it play out for you.

Interesting… you are using Copilot inside of Cursor?
I developed the prompt only using Copilot. Once it approved the prompt, I used it on various agents with varying degrees of success. There were some errors with Cursor but it began charging me again to fix those errors. Trying others tomorrow.
That’s not cool, if you don’t care about which model, you can technically use a locally hosted llm in Cursor without paying extras.
But Cursor was charging me just to fix its own errors. Feels like a scam, actually. The prompt should already work from the get-go.

Thank you Daria! Always appreciate you 🙏

Thank you Suhrab! This is really game changing for me!
Thanks for sharing this I have been using cursor lately but with this explanation I feel like I've unlocked a new way of getting the most out of it
This is awesome to hear! Glad it can help you get the most out of it!
Amazing deep dive and very useful!
Thank you Sairam!
Progress usually feels messy before it feels right.
You totally get a say in this!
Real progress always feels uncomfortable before it feels productive.

Love seeing you’re enjoying Cursor 2.0! I’m literally doing everything in Cursor these days, lol.
And yes, your AI Advent Challenge is already so fascinating. I can totally imagine how fun it’s going to be!
Awesome deep dive breakdown. It seems to just keep getting better by the week.
Thanks Dennis, yeah it is, and so many great things to catch up now 😆
A great read on AI 👏
Thanks Maxine!
This might go against the grain but everything looks so AI sloppy when using these tools.
Curious, what do you use it for?
